Clarence Correctional Centre Queue Management System

Clarence Correctional Centre is Australia’s largest and most advanced correctional centre. Following the success of our queue management system installation at Victoria’s Ravenhall Correctional Centre, we were the obvious choice to develop the queue management system for the new centre.

Given the sheer scale of the new facility, it was necessary to extend the previous system to support more service desks and multiple waiting area displays at once. With the expanded service staff in an area with limited space, we were asked to reimagine the service desk terminal, condensing the functions normally deployed on a 13-inch touch screen (including calling tickets, skipping tickets, and reporting errors) into a single wall-mounted illuminated button per service desk.

Like the original system, this newly-expanded version focuses on the visitor experience, providing clear, unambiguous information and managing visitor expectations by showing expected waiting times and the current time clearly. Given the strict policies in place in a prison environment, we stripped back the visual complexity to its absolute minimum, and the system is once-again designed to run entirely isolated from the secure prison networks and the broader internet.
